A Dive Into Florida’s Latest High-End Real Estate Deals

The real estate market never sets over the coast of the Sunshine State, with big-time sales and exciting new listings popping up every day. At 1,350 miles, Florida’s shoreline is the longest in the contiguous United States, making the southern state one of the premier destinations for exceptional coastal homes.

Here’s a look at some of the latest luxury properties that recently hit or left Florida’s seaside market.

FOR SALE — Boca Raton ($11.99 Million)

Only 60 properties are tucked away behind the gates of the yachting enclave known as The Sanctuary. Among them is this renovated, move-in-ready luxury estate with deep water dockage. Sitting on a corner lot, the nearly 6,000-square-foot home offers unobstructed views of the water and the 27-acre bird/wildlife preserve island that surrounds the neighborhood.

Outdoor living spaces include multiple lounging areas, an outdoor kitchen and bar and a swimming pool. Back inside, the home’s extensive updates are on full display in the chic kitchen, with a waterfall central island and a wall of floating shelves. At $11.99 million, the listing sits right in the middle of the Sanctuary market. New construction homes in the gated community make up the most expensive properties, reaching $25 million and above.

The listing is held by Ari Albinder of the Keyes Company.

SOLD — Jupiter ($10.5 Million)

Completed in 2016, this recently sold waterfront estate sits on the scenic Loxahatchee River where winding waters run into the Jupiter Inlet for ocean access. The exterior exudes a Key West-style design with blue shutters, covered verandas and palm landscaping. Inside, similar touches are infused with modern notes, while amenities include a virtual golfing area with its own wet bar. Covered patio space, a summer kitchen and a heated pool and spa highlight the grounds. At the end of the property is a private dock with a 20,000-pound boat lift and a second lift for other watercraft and paddleboards.

Well above the average Jupiter selling price of $905,000, this recent sale underscores the presence of wealthy buyers willing to shell out a pretty penny for new construction waterfront properties that continue to dominate the luxury market, says Mike Ivancevic of Illustrated Properties who represented the sellers.

FOR SALE — Vero Beach ($7 Million)

Were it not for the distinct allure of the Atlantic Ocean and various mature palm trees that dot the 1.25-acre property, one might believe that this $7-million oceanfront estate is located somewhere along the Mediterranean coast. Featuring an ornate, arched entryway, red-tiled roof and stucco facade, the timeless residence sits just off the beach with a private path leading to its 135 feet of shoreline. Panoramic views are observed throughout the 4,000-square-foot floor plan, especially the dining area, lanai and second-story balcony.

As one of only a few properties located on this verdant stretch of shoreline opposite the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, the four-bedroom residence is afforded exceptional privacy. Like many coastal Florida markets, pricing in Vero Beach varies greatly depending on location. Waterfront properties, particularly those positioned on the barrier island, occupy the highest end of the market, regularly reaching upwards of $15 million.

SOLD — Rosemary Beach ($8.5 Million)

Prime properties have grown increasingly rare in Rosemary Beach, and even in the coastal area known as 30A, says James Watts of Coastal Abode, who recently represented the buyer of a five-story townhome in the community. “Our market continues to deal with very strong demand. When a truly unique and special property—like the townhome—comes up for sale, it sells quickly if it even hits the public market,” he adds.

The townhouse, which closed at $8.5 million, was described as having a bold art deco exterior and an interior with sleek, European-inspired finishes. Features include an impressive kitchen anchored by a large central island covered in Taj Mahal quartz countertops. Wide-plank, wire-brushed white oak floors, a private service elevator and a rooftop terrace spanning 3,226 square feet are among other details of note.

FOR SALE—Jupiter ($5.99 Million)

Located at the northern end of Palm Beach County, Jupiter has long been the locale of pricey properties and major sales (an example to come). As such, new construction homes, like this impressive transitional-style residence in Waterway Village, are arriving on the market, feeding the robust demand for luxury waterfront real estate.

Covering 5,100 square feet, the three-story property sits just off of the Intracoastal Waterway. A private dock with a boat lift runs the width of the waterfront lot. From there, the backyard then encompasses a heated swimming pool and spa. High-end finishes like solid core doors, volume ceilings with shiplap and picture windows with lower openings add a refined touch to the interior. Other highlights include a Roman soaking tub, multiple flex spaces and office with built-in shelves and cabinetry.

SOLD—Vero Beach ($5.5 Million)

Selling recently for $5.5 million, this 7,750-square-foot beachfront home sits at the high end of the market for the Moorings neighborhood in Vero Beach, says listing agent, Matilde Sorensen of Dale Sorensen Real Estate. “The residence sold for over five times the median listing price for the Moorings.” The exceptional price is fitting for such an exceptional property. Positioned along Florida’s Treasure Coast, the seaside home is connected to the beach via a private boardwalk.

A circular driveway and portico front the estate, leading to a grand entrance with towering windows and a crafted staircase. The geometric design makes for distinct interior spaces, including the family room complete with an oversized fireplace and built-ins. The kitchen, living room and dining area are situated on the second floor, allowing for sweeping views of the tropical landscape.

FOR SALE—Grayton Beach ($3.85 Million)

Despite being located in one of 30A’s original beach villages, this charming 3,500-square-foot home listed in Grayton Beach was completed in the last decade, showcasing the continued development of the Florida Panhandle coastal region. The listing, held by Brad Hilderbrand of Coastal Abode, is one of only eight currently available in the seaside community. Average home prices in the area have steadily been on the rise over the last year, with Grayton Beach sitting at $3.4 million.

The two-story design incorporates upper and lower porches to maximize the view. An open-concept floor decked in shiplap walls features six bedrooms. In the backyard, a screen patio holds a heated pool and lounge area.

SOLD—Miami ($2.98 Million)

This recently sold four-bedroom home in the northern Miami neighborhood of Miami Shores has direct access to Biscayne Bay via a small inlet waterway. According to listing agent Raquel Leon of Keyes Company, Miami Shores has seen a price increase of 8% in the last year, fueled by the steady desire for waterfront properties in proximity to Downtown Miami. With an average home price of $2 million, Miami Shores remains one of the priciest neighborhoods in northern Miami.

The single-story Mediterranean-style residence was built in 1930 but underwent an extensive renovation in 2020. Features include a vaulted-ceiling living room, a wealth of windows and sliding glass doors and a back patio that faces the water.
