Florida police officer delivers final 10-7, heads to retirement

For the final time, Walt Wyckoff ended his shift by sitting on his motorcycle. Tuesday, Wyckoff gave 911 dispatch his final 10-7 or out-of-service call.Wyckoff, a master officer with the police department, retired after 30 years of service.“I wanted to take this moment to let you know I appreciate y’all,” Wyckoff said on his radio.On the reply, dispatch expressed their gratitude to Wyckoff for his years of service with the department and for serving the community for 30 years.A Moment of Joy: News We Love“You have made a lasting impact on members of the Port St. Lucie Police Department and our residents,” dispatch said. One by one, his colleagues congratulated Wyckoff on his career and wished him the best in retirement.“Thanks for getting me a job, pal,” one officer joked on the radio to Wyckoff.“It has been a pleasure riding with you, brother.
