Man arrested after person shot in Port St. Lucie home


PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — A 37-year-old man was arrested after a shooting that critically injured one person Monday afternoon, Port St. Lucie police said.

The shooting took place in the 7500 block of Southwest Greenspring Street at about 1:40 p.m. This is in the Copper Creek neighborhood off Glades Cut Off Road.

When police arrived, they found a man had been shot multiple times as a result of some type of argument.

Michael Walters is facing a charge of attempted first-degree murder, Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, a spokesman, later told WPTV.

PSLPD is on scene in the 7500 block of SW Greenspring St in reference to a shooting.

One person has been shot and one person is in custody.

Investigators said the suspect and victim were not related but lived in the same home.

The victim was taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
