PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Port St. Lucie resident caught a neighbor vandalizing their property on surveillance video.
According to Port St. Lucie police, 70-year-old Jonathan Mayfield had been harassing his neighbors since the summer.
The victim showed police a video of Mayfield pouring motor oil on their plants and brick pavers on July 7.
On Aug. 3, the victim tells police Mayfield walked up to the camera and sprayed something on the lens, then walking toward the side of the house. The victim later noticed the water spout was damaged, according to the incident report.
Police arrested Mayfield and charged him with stalking and two county of vandalism.
He was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
